BRAMPTON: 2nd Chesterfield Boys Brigade step out for Guide Dogs UK

Boys, girls, officers and parents from the 2nd Chesterfield Boys’ Brigade which meets on a Monday evening during term time at Storrs Road Methodist Church Centre, held a sponsored walk for the Chesterfield branch of their chosen charity, Guide Dogs UK. They set off from the Centre at Upper Moor Street on Sunday afternoon and walked up the River Hipper valley to Holymoorside. Here they took a path alongside the dam which led to a wooded area covered in bluebells and then joined Harewood Road. They then followed a bridleway which led to the edge of Holy Moor with wonderful views towards Chesterfield before meeting Loads Road. The group then went along Chander Hill Lane to pick up with a footpath over the fields of Nether Chanderhill and Pocknedge Lane then across the A632. Another path led towards Westwick farm then through the fields travelling parallel with Chatsworth Road and arriving back at the Centre.
