Boy in cells after Dronfield Sport Centre break-in

Police have remanded a 15-year-old in custody after he was caught climbing out of Dronfield Sports Centre.

Officers were called to a suspected break-in at Dronfield Sports Centre at 5am today, Wednesday, April 11.

Dronfield Safer Neighbourhood Team which dealt with the call-out said: “Officers attended to find male climbing out of broken window at Dronfield Sports Centre and attempting to make off on a push bike.

“Thanks to the hard work of the officers and a very helpful member of the public we now have one male in the cells.”

A spokesman for Derbyshire Police said: “Officers attended and arrested a 15-year-old boy. Nobody has been charged at this time.”
