Bolsover got into the festive spirit at the weekend with its annual Christmas festival and lantern parade.
The spectacular events, which were bigger and brighter than ever before, lit up the town and its castle on Saturday – wowing hundreds of families.
The festival included a selection of stalls selling food, drink and crafts, a performance by Spinkhill Immaculate Conception Primary School Choir and Father Christmas on his sleigh.
Meanwhile, the stunning lantern parade travelled through the castle grounds and around Bolsover as darkness fell.
Paraders of all ages spent the last few weeks making the lanterns, which came in a range of shapes, sizes and colours.
The Christmas festival and lantern parade have been a highlight in the Bolsover’s calendar for 21 years.
