Two brothers from Bolsover are due to be sentenced today for animal cruelty offences after a dog was found dead.

Police discovered the body of the animal at a property in Shuttlewood, Bolsover, on November 10 last year.

Thomas and James Hill face charges including causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal and arson.

They are due to be sentenced at Chesterfield Magistrates’ Court today (Monday).
