Baron Estelle Morris visited Tibshelf Community School as part of the school’s Citizenship programme and the House of Lords ‘Peers in Schools’ initiative.
The Baroness, previously Secretary of State for Education and now a member of the House of Lords, gave a thought-provoking presentation to pupils and staff.
She outlined the history of her political career and the function of the House of Lords.
The group discussed whether the House of Lords should be elected and there was ample opportunity for questions.
Pupils James Barron, Lucy Day, Kieran Stammers and Jack Savage are pictured with the Baroness.
