Baby grow charity stunt

A GROUP of Derbyshire youngsters raised an outstanding £241 for charity after completing a sponsored walk in their baby grow outfits.

Lauren Robinson, Louise Hill and Natalie Wilson completed the seven mile walk from Tansley to Darley Dale on Sunday, November 11, in a bid to raise vital funds for Children in Need.

The trio of 14-year-olds completed the walk in a great time and certainly attracted a lot of attention from passers-by in their outfits – which would be more suited to a Sunday lie-in rather than a morning walk.

Luckily, though, it was a reasonably sunny day when the youngsters took on the challenge.

Natalie Wilson said: “We are really pleased that we managed to raise the grand total of £241.20.

“On behalf of all of us, I would like to say a big thank you to everybody who sponsored us on the walk.”

Children in Need raised a record £26.7 million this year in a night of celebrity performances and entertainment.
