A GENEROUS marketing company has announced they will be raising money for a charity hospice by auctioning off a place on their popular social media marketing workshop.
Brighter Directions, who provide strategic marketing solutions to businesses across the UK, is offering people the chance to bid for a place on their Introductory Social Media Workshop, on Thursday 26th January, to raise money for Ashgate Hospice in Chesterfield.
The in-depth workshop is specifically designed for small businesses by providing participants with a friendly, hands-on training session and a clear understanding of how to manage their social media sites correctly to generate positive results.
Places on the workshop are worth £250 and will take place at Brighter Directions’ premises at Coney Green Business Centre in Clay Cross, Chesterfield.
To bid for a place on the social media marketing workshop, people are asked to either follow @brighteridea on Twitter and tweet their bidding price, or show they ‘like’ the Brighter Directions’ Facebook page and leave a comment with their offer. In both instances, the bidding price must be followed by the phrase #CharityBID.
The minimum bid for a place on the workshop is £50 and the closing date is Friday 20th January at 12pm. The winner will be announced that afternoon and informed of their successful bid.
Commenting on the auction, Claire Curzon, Managing Director at Brighter Directions, said: “We wanted to do some fundraising for a local charity and thought that auctioning a place on our social media workshop would not only help Ashgate Hospice, but would also play a part in helping the growth of the winning bidder’s business.
“I hope that we receive lots of bids for a place on the workshop and that we manage to raise a substantial amount of money for Ashgate Hospice which is a very worthwhile course and deserves everyone’s help and support.”
