Assault appeal


POLICE are appealing for information over an alleged assault at a bar in Ripley.

The incident happened around 7.45pm, on Friday, December 23, at The 3 Bar, on Market Place.

Two men got into a fight, according to police, and one punched the other in the face. Police said the victim fell backwards into a group of bystanders and one of the group, a 44 year-old local man, was also pushed over and he suffered a broken ankle.

Police are trying to trace the two men who were involved in the fight.

One is described as white with tattoos on his arms and was wearing a dark-coloured shirt and dark-coloured jeans. The second was white and was wearing a striped polo shirt and jeans. Officers are keen to trace the men and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
