ASHOVER: Village Film Time grows in popularity

Mussolini will be seen in Ashover’s Bassett Rooms next month. He will feature in the Village Film Time’s programme on February 28, in “Tea with Mussolini”, a semi-autobiographical film directed by Franco Zeffirelli telling the story of young Italian boy’s upbringing by a circle of British and American women before and during the Second World War.
March 21, will see the screening of the French film “Amelie” (with English sub-titles). On April 28, the film will be ‘Another Year’ with ‘Brassed Off’ on May 23.

Village Film Time was launched in January 2012 and the first four films attracted around 20 people. The event has subsequently become increasingly popular. No booking is required and there is no charge – though a donation of £2 is welcome. There is also a children’s film show on the third Saturday of the month at 4pm.
