Brits are increasingly losing contact with cash, with only 10 per cent paying for everything with cash and rarely using card, new research has shown.

A study by Moneysupermarket found that on average we typically make 20 per cent more payments with card or contactless devices (1.8 a day) than with cash (1.5 a day).
