A wildlife trust has already raised almost half the money needed for a badger vaccination programme after launching it only this month.
Derbyshire Wildlife Trust has already raised £22,500 toward its final goal of £50,000 for the programme to vaccinate badgers against bovine tuberculosis, but it still needs help raising the rest.
The trust launched the scheme in a bid to prevent the proposed badger cull, currently being trialled in the south west of England, from coming to Derbyshire.
Anyone wishing to donate can send a cheque made payable to ‘Derbyshire Wildlife Trust’ to Derbyshire Wildlife Trust Badger Appeal, East Mill, Bridge Foot, Belper, Derbyshire, DE56 1XH. Alternatively, visit www.derbyshirewildlifetrust.org.uk
