APPEAL: Help boost funds for cancer centre

As part of the fundraising push for the Chesterfield Royal Macmillan Cancer Centre appeal, we are inviting you all to run, walk, dance or put together an event to help boost the pot. '¨We've been really fortunate in the last month to have been contacted by a number of local events teams who have kindly offered to raise money for our new cancer centre appeal. But if you don't fancy organising something, we have put on several events to help raise the cash. There is such a range of activities on offer, take a look below and see if there's something to suit you '“ and why not buy a ticket. By doing so you will be supporting a good cause at the same time.

Dance for Macmillan takes place on May 21, from 8pm at the Winding Wheel. Local dance company Smartdanceworks are hosting a charity summer ball in aid of the appeal. Whether you’ve never danced before or are a keen enthusiast, the night has a great DJ line-up playing music to suit all tastes and dance styles. Tickets are £13 in advance and £15.50 on the door.
