Police are appealing for information after a 14-year-old boy’s stunt scooter was stolen from outside a shop in Boythorpe.

The scooter was taken from outside Raj News on Baden Powell Road at around 4pm on Saturday, September 29.

PCSO Zoe Blount of the Holmebrook and Rother Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team has been making enquiries. She said: “If anyone has any information about this incident, or if they saw anything suspicious please contact us.

“We would also like to remind youngsters to be a bit wary, and to not leave bikes, scooters or skateboards unattended and insecure. Lock them up if you have to leave them, as it can only take a few minutes for it to be stolen.”

The scooter is purple in colour. The wheels are white with a purple core and the deck is purple with black grip tape, which may have since been sprayed red.

Anyone with information should contact Derbyshire police on 101, the non emergency number, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
