The Rodgers and Hammerstein musical “Carousel”, starring Gordon MacRae and Shirley Jones, was screened at a meeting of Alfreton Wesley Church film club.

Members of the drama group of Alfreton Wesley Church travelled to St John’s Methodist Church at Hereford to see a presentation of the 1920s comedy “Where There’s a Will...” The play, which had its premiere at Alfreton last summer, was staged by the Hereford church’s drama group. The two-day trip also included a visit to the National Memorial Arboretum at Alrewas.

Last year members of the Alfreton team made a similar visit to Hereford, when the group staged the Alfreton play “Murder at the Manse.”
