The Reds are scheduled to entertain Forest Green Rovers in Vanarama Conference action at the Impact Arena for what will be a first home outing for points since 20th December, and incredibly only a second Saturday home league fixture since 15th November.

With confidence high following a crucial 3-2 victory at relegation rivals Welling United last weekend, Alfreton will be keen to continue the momentum of four points gained from their last two away league games as they head into the most crucial stage of the season.

Starting with the visit of Forest Green, Alfreton have seven home games out of the next eleven fixtures of which only two, Woking away a week on Saturday, and Kidderminster Harriers at home on 7th March against sides in the top half of the table.

New signing

Meanwhile, Alfreton fans can get ready to welcome at least one more new signing before the end of the January transfer window with one player expected at the Impact Arena in time for this Saturday’s home game against Forest Green.

Manager Nicky Law has already pull off four pieces of transfer window business so far as he revamps his squad ahead of a massively important run-in to the end of the season.

The latest two, giant 6’9’’ goalkeeper Jason Mooney on loan from York City and central defender Callum Howe on loan from Scunthorpe United both starred in Alfreton’s crucial 3-2 win at Welling United last Saturday.

Law has also brought in exciting talents winger John Johnston and striker Joe Ironside, both on eighteen month contracts as the club builds for the future.
