ALFRETON: Motorbiker killed in collision is named

A 27-year-old man killed in a collision with a lorry has been named.

Christopher Taylor, of Milton Avenue, Alfreton, died after the crash at around 3.30pm on Tuesday, January 29, on the A61 north of Alfreton.

The collision involved a Yamaha motorcycle and a heavy goods vehicle.

Emergency services including the air ambulance attended but he sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Part of the A61 was closed for several hours between Westhouses and Shirland.
