Alfreton man jailed for drugs offences

An Alfreton man has been sentenced to four years in prison for drugs offences.

Ashley Blair, 23, was arrested last December after police saw him visiting a drug stash in a field to the rear of Waverley Street, Tibshelf.

A search was carried out at his house on Waverley Street and officers found cocaine and MDMA.

Blair, now of Peveril Road, Tibshelf, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, and possession of cocaine and MDMA.

He was sentenced to four years in prison following a hearing at Derby Crown Court on Monday.
