The scheme was run by Langley Mill Community Group, and supported by Derbyshire Constabulary and Derbyshire County Council Youth Service.

Professional sportsman Chris Marples led the activities, which included football, hockey, tennis, basketball, cricket, dodgeball and Ozbox boxing. Arts and crafts also proved popular, with youngsters making jewellery, cards and picture frames.
