Abusive drunk is ordered to pay £305

An abusive drunk has been fined after police responded to reports of a domestic incident.

Chesterfield magistrates’ court heard on Tuesday how police were called to Devizes Close, Grangewood, Chesterfield, and Carl Hill, 42, was slurring his words and was abusive to police.

Gillian Foxcroft, prosecuting, said police attended after a report of a domestic incident.

Hill, of Longcroft Court, Grangewood, Chesterfield, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in public after the incident on April 24. He also admitted being in breach of a conditional discharge for an assault.

The defendant told the court he and his former partner had been drinking and he was sorry. Magistrates fined Hill £200 and he must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
