The exhibition, provided by pupils from Holmesdale Infant School, Stonelow Junior School and Gorsey Brigg Primary includes paintings of daffodils and other colourful spring flowers.

The six artworks have been placed in the waiting shelters at the station to provide a cheerful welcome to anyone waiting for catch a train from Dronfield.

Friends of Dronfield Station member Tina Teather said: “In normal times the exhibition would be a grand event with the mayor and local MP in attendance but, because of the Covid restrictions, we can only hope that everyone will be grateful to the pupils of the three schools for the hard work they have put in to make the station a brighter and welcoming place.”

The spring exhibition will remain at the station until the end of July when the poster cases will be used to display another exhibition of artworks.
