Top award nominee to perform in Wirksworth

A small venue in the Peak District is becoming one of Derbyshire's most significant places for live entertainment, with performances celebrating the best of locally and nationally acclaimed musicians.

Carol Fieldhouse, the owner and manager of Coach House Studios in Wirksworth, said: “I am delighted audiences are enjoying the unique environment that the Coach House offers for music.”

Carol, who is a songwriter, is looking forward to the musicians scheduled for this month. She said: “They’re both supremely talented performers.”

Blue Rose Code will be performing on Friday, June 3, in support of latest album, ...And Lo! The Bird Is On The Wing.

Singer-songwriter Ross Wilson is Blue Rose Code, whose second record, The Ballads of Peckham Rye, was nominated for Scottish Album Of The Year Awards in 2014.

Brooks Williams, ranked as one of world’s top 100 acoustic guitarists, will play at Coach House Studios on June 19.
