Teenager raises thousands for ambulance

A teenager who saw an air ambulance rescue and spoke to the pilot at the scene has raised thousands of pounds for the vital service.

Joe Critchlow, 14, of Warslow, organised an auction and, helped by family and friends, contacted people to donate goods.

He set himself a target of £1,000 which he smashed when the auction at the village’s Greyhound Inn raised £5,900 for Derbyshire Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance (DLRAA).
