Leading wool specialist ‘delighted’ to reopen Peak District shop after lockdown eased

A leading UK wool bedding specialist has reopened its Peak District shop following the change in government guidelines and the easing of lockdown restrictions.

Woolroom which sells 100 per cent natural British wool bedding products, which are temperature regulating, absorbent of harmful toxins and hypoallergenic, reopened its shop in Peak Shopping Village, Rowsley, on June 23.

Shop bosses have said social distancing and extensive safety measures they have put in place include limiting the amount of customers in store at one time, safety screens at tills, protective equipment for staff and hand sanitisers for customers throughout the shop.

They are also offering free consultations so customers can have the store to themselves while browsing the range of beds and bedding without having to worry about distancing themselves from other customers.

Consultations to be booked through the website, thewoolroom.com, to secure a 30 or 60 minute appointment.

Chris Tattersall, managing director of Woolroom which continued to operate through lockdown online after its shops closed, said: “We’re delighted to be welcoming back our customers into each of our stores in Peak District, Marlow and Ipswich.

“The safety and wellbeing of our colleagues is of the upmost importance and in line with Government guidelines we have implemented social distancing measures and up-weighted health and safety measure to ensure everyone feels safe while visiting us.”

The shop in the shopping village will be open from Monday to Sunday from 10:30am to 4:30pm.
