This friendly, family orientated weekend offers drums circles, morning yoga, comedy, philosophy lessons and of course, lots of talented people singing with acoustic guitars.

The Friday night started with a bang as one of the headline acts, Dizraeli, grabbed the audience with brilliant rapping and singing about politics and Cornwall. After that came the modern folk band, The Natterjacks.

Next we caught Robin and Bina Williamson, who performed traditional and medieval style folk songs, sprinkled with jokes and stories.

But the main headliner of the night was the 80s rock band Big Country, who had a big sound but an even bigger fan base.

The combination of these elements makes Stainsby a festival not to be missed.Even if folk music isn’t your bag, the relaxed atmosphere means you’re bound to have a weekend like no other.
