Pupils showcase work in Electric Prom

Classical music students have gained an insight into music-making within the pop industry.

Pupils from North East Derbyshire Music Centre have worked with session guitarist Thomas James Smith who formed, played and recorded with the band Rhys Lewis and the Relics which are now signed to Decca.

Tom’s has arranged music for some of his songs to enable the students to accompany his vocals.

An Electric Prom concert will showcase this work on Friday, June 17, at 7.30pm in Donut Creative Arts Studio, Chesterfield. The night will feature younger students from String Club and Choir.
