30 places where you can see well dressings in Derbyshire

It's well dressing time as Derbyshire villages and towns celebrate a craft that originated in the 18th century.

Flower petals are used to create intricate works of art which are placed at wells, springs and other water sources. Here's our guide to where you can see this year's pick of the bunch.

Four well-dressings, including this lovely picture of Peter Rabbit, are on display in Tideswell until June 30, 2019.

This year's well-dressings, running in Whaley Bridge until July 1, include a tableau based on The First Publication of Noddy by Enid Blyton.

Rowsley will have two well dressings for visitors to admire this year and they go on show from June 29 to July 6.

One of the biggest celebrations of well dressing is in West Hallam where ten wells will be displayed from July 13 to 19. The main festival day is on July 13, with street entertainment and an arts market. The above tableau is from 2007.
