Stanton Hall in Ilkeston was built in the 18th century as a small country house but has since been substantially expanded and was most recently used as a care home.

The Grade II-listed property on Main Street, Stanton-By-Dale, features a main house with 30 bedrooms over three floors and a more modern single-storey block containing six bedrooms.

Planning permission has already been granted to convert the premises into five homes, with a separate scheme drawn up to create 16 apartments.
