The group is open to individuals, schools and community groups to enable adults and children with disabilities to experience cycling in safe surroundings with experienced instructors on hand to help.

There are a range of three and four-wheeled bicycles, including a hand-cycle, a wheelchair bike and a two-person bike where cyclists can sit side by side.

Michelle Cadet-Rose, who is running the project, said: “These bikes are amazing. They are sturdy, practical bikes built to the highest quality.

“They give people with disabilities the stability and balance needed to build confidence in propelling themselves on three or four wheels.

“So far everyone who has tried them has left with a huge smile on their face.”

The project is based at Queens Park.
