Mazda 6 revealed at Moscow

The new Mazda 6 is to make its first public appearance at the Moscow Motor Show at the end of August.

The model is the second to embody the company’s new Kodo (Soul of Motion) design theme, and it will adopt Mazda’s full range of Skyactiv fuel-saving advances.

Skyactiv represents Mazda’s desire to develop the efficiency of internal combustion as far as physically possible before turning to electric propulsion systems or other alternative power sources.

As the firm’s new flagship model, the 6 will embody most of what Mazda wants to stand for, claiming “a sense of dignity, style, luxury feel and comfort expected from a vehicle in the CD segment, while offering the pleasure of responsive and agile driving, which is at the core of the Mazda brand.”

A Russian-spec 2.0-litre petrol-engined model with a six-speed Skyactiv-Drive automatic gearbox will go on show from August 29 in Moscow.
