Three more coronavirus patients die in Chesterfield as town braces for Tier 3 lockdown

Three more coronavirus patients have died in Chesterfield, the latest figures have revealed, as the town prepares to enter a Tier 3 lockdown.

The most recent NHS data shows that three more patients who tested positvie for Covid-19 have passed away at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.

It brings Chesterfield’s coronavirus death toll to 185 as the town leaves the national lockdown and braces for a Tier 3 lockdown starting tomorrow (Wednesday, December 2).

Nationally a further 350 people who tested positive for coronavirus have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 40,938.

Patients were aged between 31 and 98 years old. All except nine, who were aged between 44 and 92 years old, had known underlying health conditions.

The date of the deaths range from October 23 to November 30 with the majority being on or after November 24.

Their families have been informed.
