The worst hit Chesterfield areas for coronavirus this week as three tier lockdown announced

Find out which neighbourhoods in Chesterfield have the highest number of new coronavirus cases, as the majority of the county enter a ‘medium’ tier lockdown.

Apart from areas in the High Peak which have been placed into a ‘high’ lockdown which prevents households from mixing, the rest of Derbyshire will remain under the current lower tier ‘medium’ restrictions that are already in place.

Charlesworth, Chisworth, Chunal, Crowden, Dinting, Gamesley, Glossop, Hadfield, Moorfield, Padfield, Shirebrook, Simmondley and Tintwistle are all subject to the new, stricter measures which forbid people from meeting other households indoors.

Find out which areas of Chesterfield – which are currently permitted to mix with other households – had the highest number of new Covid-19 cases between October 2 and October 8, according to the latest Public Health England data.

Results are based off testing in labs, hospitals and in the wider community that were reported to labs by October 10.
