Four more Covid deaths recorded in Chesterfield as UK’s vaccination total nears 10 million

The latest fatalities bring the total number of Covid-related deaths at Chesterfield Royal Hospital to 315.

Nationally, a further 767 people who tested positive for the illness have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 72,912.

The patients were aged between 23 and 102 years old. All except 31 – aged 23 to 102 years old – had known underlying health conditions.

On Tuesday it was also announced Sir Captain Tom Moore had passed away with coronavirus.
