Coronavirus: No new deaths in Chesterfield as 26 die across England

No new coronavirus deaths have been reported in Chesterfield, according to the latest NHS figures.

A total of 132 people who tested positive for the deadly bug have now died under the care of the Chesterfield Royal Hospital Foundation Trust.

However, there have been no new deaths on the site over the past couple of weeks.

Yesterday (Monday, July 13) saw the UK's coronavirus hospital death toll increase by 12 - the lowest single-day rise since March 13.

But today (Tuesday, July 14) England has reported a further 26 deaths of patients testing positive for Covid-19.

This brings the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 29,103.

Patients were aged between 49 and 94 years old. One patient aged 71 had no known underlying health conditions.

The figures were provided by Public Health England as part of its deaily breakdown
