Performance for each school is assessed on the percentage of pupils meeting the expected standard in reading, maths and writing.
Pupils are meeting the expected standard if they achieve a scaled score of 100 or more in their reading and maths tests, and their teacher assesses them as 'working at the expected standard' or better.
It is based on a series of national curriculum tests at the end of Key Stage 2, which usually take place for mathematics, English reading and English grammar, punctuation and spelling.
The latest figures are from a The Department for Education (DfE) list published in 2019, as assessments have since been on hold due to the pandemic.
