Derbyshire teachers spread cheer with daily dance on video

Teachers at Inkersall Primary Academy are performing a daily dance in a bid to “cheer everone up” during lockdown.

Deputy headteacher Jo Mercer said: “The staff each day perform a 'dance' which they post on social media to cheer up everyone.

“The whole school staff also have a weekly challenge where they create a perforrmance of some sort which is posted on Class Dojo and Twitter for our families to see.

“On Friday, staff filmed themselves performing 'Don't Stop Me Now’, by Queen, which was released to parents this morning.

“The previous Friday the staff performed the 'Toilet Roll challenge' where they filmed themselves passing a toilet roll and this was put together to music.

“We have also set up two boards outside school called 'The Rainbow of Hope' where the community can come and write a message of support for all of our wonderful key workers.”
