The activity centre is part of the eagerly-anticipated multi-million-pound PEAK development that promises a hub aimed at encouraging visitors to explore the area in a more environmentally-friendly way as well as a Health and Wellness centre, set to house a medical clinic, a spa and hotel rooms.

The all year leisure, education, wellness and entertainment destination is currently under construction on the 300-acre Birchall Estate near Unstone, just outside of Dronfield.

It is to be marketed as a gateway, resort and campus attracting international and city-based visitors to the area as well as being available to local and regional residents.

Phase one of the development is estimated to cost around £100m and will represent approximately one-third of the total planning permission.

Work on the site has recently re-commenced, following a re-design of the Centre’s internal layout to ensure Covid resistance and changes in foundations in response to ground conditions.
