Three Derbyshire McDonald’s restaurants launch home McDelivery service via Uber Eats

Three McDonald’s outlets in east Derbyshire have just introduced a new home delivery service via Uber Eats.

Customers living within 1.5 miles of the restaurants on Berristow Lane in South Normanton, on Nottingham Road in Alfreton, and at Markham Vale Services, can now get their favourite McDonald’s menu items delivered straight to their door

Franchisee Jacqui Moore said: “Even before lockdown we were always working towards making our customers’ dining experience easier and more convenient – including self-service kiosks and table service.

The service will be available during usual operating hours, and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner options.

To place an order download the app or go to at www.ubereats.com.

Customers will be asked to search for their local restaurant, add any customised meal instructions, enter the delivery location, and then schedule the arrival time. The order will be charged to a credit or debit card.

The app will also provide live updates on the delivery’s progress.

All Uber Eats couriers will be wearing masks to comply with new Government policy, and McDonald’s has introduced other in-store measures to keep staff, customers and couriers safe from pick-up to delivery.

McDonald’s says more than 63million orders have been placed via McDelivery since it was launched in 2017.
