Win tickets to see Soul Legends show

Billed as “the feel good show of the year”, brand-new smash-hit, Stateside spectacular Soul Legends is coming to Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall on Saturday, June 27, starting at 7.30pm, starring original soul legend Gwen Dickey, the voice of soul super group Rose Royce.

Gwen’s sensual vocals are a signature of the Seventies, featuring on the Rose Royce’s number one hits Car Wash, Wishing on a Star and Love Don’t Live Here Anymore.

We have teamed up with the promoters of the production to offer two lucky readers the chance to win a pair of tickets to see the hit-packed spectacular.

Rose Royce played an important role in the resurgence of soul during the Seventies, re-establishing the music-making career of Sixties songwriting legend Norman Whitfield.

Songwriter and producer Norman was an integral part of the Motown Records hit-making machine. With the famous record label he wrote and produced soul classics like I Heard It Through The Grapevine, Ain’t Too Proud To Beg, Papa Was a Rolling Stone and Just My Imagination (Running Away With Me).

After leaving Motown, Whitfield put together a group to perform his brand-new material.
