An evening with Jools Holland on Friday, June 26, and a romantic performance of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night makes up the roster of exciting outdoor events, which promises something for everyone this year.

Chatsworth dusts of its dancing shoes for one night only, as Jools and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra perform a night full of hits, with special guests Marc Almond of Soft Cell, Gilson Lavis on drums and vocalists Ruby Turner, Louise Marshall and Mabel Ray.

In the garden, guests will be able to enjoy lively renditions of all their favourites tunes as well as a bite to eat with one of Chatsworth’s pre-made picnic baskets.

Then, on Saturday, June 27, you can enjoy an unforgettable night of music and fireworks as conductor Jae Alexander and the UK Philharmonic Orchestra bring the spirit of the Last Night of the Proms to Chatsworth’s garden.

Joined by special guest tenor John Pierce and soprano, Janet Mooney, guests can sing-along with patriotic fervour to all their best-loved classical works, from movie theme tunes to firm favourite, Nessun Dorma. The evening of music will be rounded off with fireworks and guests can also purchase pre-made picnic baskets at the event.

To get in for free, WW2 veterans must be wearing their uniform and accompanied by a paying guest. Tickets start from £28 for an adult. For more information or to book, visit www.chatsworth.org
