During his remarkable 50-year career, he virtually invented soul music by bringing together the fervour of gospel, the secular lyrics and narratives of blues and country, and the big-band arrangements of jazz, to create dozens of classic rhythm and blues and rock numbers.

The live performance features some of Ray’s most memorable and timeless songs including Unchain My Heart, Hallelujah, I Can’t Stop Loving You, Mess Around, Georgia On My Mind, What I Say and Hit The Road Jack.

Orchestrated and conducted by legendary Bee Gees Musical Director Gary Moberley, the evening promises a performance not to be missed.

Hit The Road Jack will be appearing at Buxton Opera House on Saturday November 30, at 7.30pm.

Tickets, priced £18 and £20, are available from the Box Office on 0845 127 2190 or online at www.buxtonoperahouse.org.uk.
