Top quartet to play for Derby Jazz

The Matt Ridley Quartet will perform at the latest Derby Jazz gig, to be held on Friday, November 7, from 8pm, at The Cube, based at Deda in Derby.

In recent years, Matt Ridley has established himself as one of the most exciting young bass players around, performing with a who’s who of UK jazz figures, and with his trio.

This trio has joined forces with the world renowned saxophone player Jason Yarde, and this new ensemble has been touring for the past year.

The hugely talented band also features Parliamentary Jazz award winner pianist John Turville, and the inventive George Hart on the drums.

Deda is located on Chapel Street in Derby city centre.
