Based on the ballads of Robin Hood, it is set in the century and a half from 1865 to the present day, to reflect the Theatre Royal’s 150th anniversary.

Hood – The Legend Continues has been written in six sections by seven playwrights from the East Midlands.

New Perspectives have assembled a writing team including James Graham, widely considered to be Britain’s most talented new political playwright and screenwriter.

The production will star Adam Morris, Ewen MacIntosh, Jonah Russell, Jasmine Blackborow, Ed Thorpe and Alex Bedward. Adam Morris, best known for playing Robin Hood in the much-loved children’s TV series, Maid Marian and her Merry Men, will play the Sheriff; while new talent Jasmine Blackborow will take the role of Marian.
