Tasty festival is on the way

Nottingham Castle opens its door to The Great Food and Drink Festival from May 23-25.

With over 100 food, drink and crafts stands and an abundance of activities, there is sure to be something for everyone at the event; from hot food and drink to real ale bars, beer and wine tasting, kid’s cookery classes, outdoor entertainment and live music.

The Great Food and Drink Festival prides itself on getting the best local produce from in and around Nottinghamshire on display and for all to try. Once you’ve walked around the beautiful grounds of Nottingham Castle, you’ll be able to relax at the bar.

There will also be cookery demonstrations by guest celebrity chef, Simon Rimmer. He will be taking you through three demos, teaching you how to cook some mouth-watering dishes that you can make in your own home.

The Sunday Brunch co-host has a real passion for food and your taste buds are sure to be tingling as he makes these dishes in front of your very eyes.

There are also stalls selling home and kitchen goods and an array of homemade crafts available.

Face painting, pizza and bread making and a whole host of rides are available for the children.

Weekend tickets are £15 and £10 for concessions, with standard tickets costing £7 and £5 for concessions. Under 10s go free with a paying adult.
