This show is guaranteed to put a smile on your face no matter how old or young you are.

When we went to see the opening night, there were people in the audience laughing and singing along the whole way through the musical.

With colourful sets and bright lights it was one of the most uplifting performances I’ve seen in a long time.

In many ways it is very Grease-like and has similarities that go beyond the era in which they are based.

Of course the characters and costumes are all style appropriate for the time with typical long puffy skirts and gelled back hair.

All the actors were amazing making high school years look much better than real life! From acappella to tap dancing there was definitely always something to blow your mind. My favourite character has to be Pinky - she was so much fun and really makes you warm to everything about her personality.

But every member of the cast did a great job as Potsie, Ralph Malph, Joanie and Chachi battled to save their beloved diner Arnold’s from demolition. Can The Fonz save the day?

Happy Days is at the Lyceum in Sheffield until Saturday.
