Let the Palace panto fun begin

With the countdown to Christmas is well and truly under way, the town’s theatre prepares for panto madness with not just this year’s show, but next year’s too.

From the magic of the Far East to the swash and buckle of Neverland, Mansfield Palace Theatre is in a world of make believe, with next year’s panto tickets going on sale on the same day that this year’s panto opens.

As 80 per cent of Aladdin tickets have already been sold, the public are urged to get their tickets for next year’s festive treat, Peter Pan, as soon as they can, to secure their favourite seats and dates. Tickets go on sale on Saturday, November 28, at 9.30am.

The cast members are busy rehearsing their lines and singing the songs that will be going round your head for weeks after watching Aladdin. Dancers are working hard to perfect their moves. The crew are busy building the set, setting the lights and perfecting the sound, ready for everything to come together in its magical way for the opening on Saturday.

Meanwhile back in the offices, the paperwork is signed, dates and prices are agreed for Peter Pan 2016-17 and producer Martin Dodd of UK Productions, will be starting to make casting enquiries.

So if you fancy taking a trip to Neverland with Peter Pan to defeat the evil Captain Hook, enjoy the theatre’s special offers, as there are ways to save money by booking early.

The usual Pay Now Save Now offer runs again and expires on Saturday, August 27, 2016, but tickets must be booked and paid for by this date. PNSN tickets are priced at £15.38 full, £14.35 for concessions, £13.84 child and £53.32 for a family of four. After this date, tickets will revert to the normal pricing structure ranging between £16.40 and £10.

The preview performances on Saturday, November 26, also offer fantastic value for money at £10 all seats.

More good news for families is that the theatre has also introduced a child price so instead of paying the general concessions rate, children’s tickets are now even cheaper.

All of the above ticket prices include a 2.5 per cent booking fee. To book tickets please call the box office on 01623 633133 or book online by visiting www.mansfield.gov.uk/palacetheatre or call in to the box office on Leeming Street.
