Talent-challenged amateur theatricals, inept rehearsals, dodgy real-estate deals and a hint of swinging sex make for a hilarious tale in Alan Ayckbourn’s A Chorus of Disapproval.

Its plot revolves around a light operatic society as they rehearse for a production of The Beggar’s Opera by John Gay. Songs from Gay’s satire on 18th century politics and morals are interwoven with, and reflect, the action of the play.
