Count Arthur Strong is heading for Derbyshire

Showbiz giant Count Arthur Strong is touring to Derbyshire this month on his first solo show for several years.

During his performances in Buxton on April 21 and Derby on April 29, he will delve into his box of video cassettes to share the highlights of his glittering TV career and the trademark stories which endear him to the public.

Count Arthur Strong was created by Stephen Delaney whilst he was studying drama in the 1980s. Arthur’s first outing was at Edinburgh Fringe in 1997, which saw Delaney win a commendation and develop a cult following.

In 2004 Count Arthur Strong gained his own sitcom on BBC Radio 4 before moving on to TV on BBC2 and BBC1. Running for five years, the sitcom was nominated for several British Comedy and BAFTA awards.
