Bolsover Drama Group have chosen the comedy See How They Run which will be presented at the town’s Assembly Rooms this month.

Written by Philip King, this farce revolves around the ensuing scandal when the wife of a vicar dines with a lance corporal, an actor who disguises himself in the clergyman’s clothes to avoid detection in a town which is out of bounds to servicemen.

However a parishioner sees the couple repeating a theatrical scene and draws the wrong conclusion. Mattters become complicated when the vicar arrives, followed by a bishop and a German prisoner of war.

Louise Sutton plays the vicar’s wife, Mick Whitehouse her husband, Chris Peck plays the lance-corporal, Ruth Bonner the parishioner and Derek Hulett is cast as the bishop.

See How They Run is on at Bolsover Assembly Rooms from May 14 to 16 at 7.15pm with a Saturday matinee at 2pm.
