Talk turns spotlight on village’s history

Wednesday, April 22, sees a talk called Cromford Before The Arrival Of Arkwright taking place at Cromford Mills.

It runs from 10am-10.40am in the Exhibition Room and the cost is £2.50.

Cromford and the surrounding hamlets were irrevocably changed during the 1770s by the arrival of Arkwright and cotton spinning. Cliff Lea’s talk will reveal some of the fascinating activities and

occupations that went on.
