Sybil war set to break out at The Playhouse

Expect comedy capers galore with Chapel-en-le-Frith Players’ latest production, Fawlty Towers.

The Am Dram group will perform a stage adaptation of the 1970s British sitcom classic, written by John Cleese and Connie Booth, on four nights at The Playhouse in Chapel-en-le-Frith.

Consisting of three episodes - A Touch of Class, Communication Problems and The Hotel Inspectors - the comedy will star Stephen Kettle in the lead role as the snobbish hotel proprietor Basil Fawlty.

Harry Goddard plays the long-suffering and loveable waiter Manuel, while Angela Buttrill and Nichola Hallows star as Basil’s wife Sybil and waitress Polly respectively.

The production will be performed at The Playhouse, Eccles Road, Chapel-en-le-Frith, on May 10, 11, 17 and 18. Doors open at 7.15pm, with the curtain up at 7.45pm.
